Quiet guy looking for quiet place

I'm 48 and work as a technical writer for a company in Cardiff. Starting a new role in Bristol in September so looking to move to the Newport area for an easy commute (once or twice a week - I'd need to be able to work from home the rest of the time). I've been lodging for the last 18 months so used to living with people and getting along :)

I'm an introvert and like the quiet life, but friendly and sociable. I'm very conscientious about cleaning and tidying and like to live in a tidy, quiet environment. The world is chaotic enough, home should be a sanctuary! I enjoy keeping fit and go to the gym a few days a week. I go for a walk most days, in the countryside when possible, usually listening to a podcast or audiobook.

I don't drink or smoke and eat a (mostly) healthy diet. I don't have a pet but I like animals, especially dogs. I usually spend my downtime reading, walking, watching films and tv shows, listening to music and chatting about interesting things. I'm looking for a quiet, clean, calm place to live, with someone on a similar wavelength to myself.
