Female professional looking for a welcoming home

Hello, I'm an experienced professional with a full time job with the NHS. I'm looking for a warm place I can call home, ideally a 1 bed or studio, as I have been sharing for 16 years and it's time to find a place of my own. I have a wonderfully quirky senior cat who is absolutely no trouble at all and I can provide references for him. In fact, he prefers to spend most of his time outside, so access to a garden is ideal. I'm also a keen gardener.
I'm originally from Canada but have been in Brighton for the past 16 years.
I have very little furniture, but a large double bed, which can be dismantled if needs be. Ideally, my home is my sanctuary. My party days are behind me, and I'm very quiet and respectful of people's lives and homes. I have strong ties in Hollingbury and am hoping to stay local.
