Oct 2026: Leith friendly houseshare sought

(Currently living in Leith - available to view in person this summer)

Hi!

I’m Vee, a Higher Education professional and am looking for a friendly houseshare with professionals in their 20s/30s/40s in Leith from October 2026 (flexible dates). I am currently staying in a summer sublet, sharing with a couple in their mid 20s (and getting on well!), and am looking for longer-term accommodation when that ends.

I really value building friendships in flatmate dynamics – I’m still friends with many of my past flatmates and would love to find a friendly face in the kitchen to catch up on our respective days.

I tend to get on best with those who have an international perspective – I’ve lived in Singapore, Turkey, and New Zealand, where I lived for eight years.

I’m house trained, and enjoy being sociable in communal spaces but also like to escape to my own room for my own reset time, so I’m neither a bedroom dweller nor someone who just sits on the couch all day. I also enjoy getting out and about after work, trying out social and sports events.

I love getting outdoors (seem to be in the Botanics twice a week these days), enjoying cultural events (e. g. Edinburgh Carnival) and discussing life, the universe and everything. Oh, and I still play Wordle in 2026 so I’m always up for a Scrabble game!

On a practical note, I largely work from home so would appreciate a place to work. I also use a bike regularly so secure bike storage would be an added bonus!

I’m a non-smoker, tend to eat a vegetarian diet and like a glass of wine with dinner, but don’t drink much beyond that. Overall, I’m hoping to find a calm, friendly place that is home rather than just somewhere to sleep.
