Looking for a studio/flat or room in shared house

Hi there!

I'm a 42 yr-old scientist and software engineer looking for a place in Newcastle for 3-6 months while I settle back into the city (I last lived there in 2017). I'm currently studying a new software language, but have a regular part-time salary (remote job) to cover the rent, so I'm looking to rent in a professional or post-graduate/mature student household.

I'm friendly and easygoing, tidy and organised. I study pretty hard, but also enjoy socialising, going to the coast, cycling and watching live music.

Preferred areas are: Heaton, Walkergate, Ilford Road, Longbenton, Gosforth, Jesmond (preferably away from studenty streets).

I'm looking to pay ~£500pcm excluding bills for a furnished double room, or ~£800pcm for a studio/flat.

I'm easygoing about who I live with. Would prefer a live-in landlord but not fussy. I'm looking for a relaxed and friendly house. I enjoy cooking shared meals etc if housemates also keen.

I'm looking to rent for 3-6 months, but up to 2 years if I'm content! :-)
