Friendly creative professional looking for a calm base in Leeds

Hi! I’m a 37-year-old creative professional about to start a new full-time role at Opera North. I’m looking for a room for at least 4 months from March while I settle into the job and look to buy locally.

I work regular 8-hour days and keep a pretty steady routine. When I’m working, I’m out during the day and fairly quiet at home. I’m clean, respectful of shared spaces, and good at communicating about practical things like cleaning, bills, and schedules. I’ve house-shared for years and really value an easy, considerate living dynamic.

Lifestyle-wise, I’m more “early night and a podcast” than late-night chaos — usually in bed before 11pm. I cook, enjoy music, and like having a chat in the kitchen, but I also really value downtime and personal space (for me and others). I have friends in Leeds so I’ll often be out and about socially, but I’m not a party person.

I work as a scenic artist, which is hands-on and creative, but I’m very used to cleaning up properly after work — I’m tidy and don’t bring mess into the house.

What I’m looking for:

* A calm, friendly household
* Parking (street is fine)
* Somewhere to store a bike (I’m hoping to cycle to the city centre)
* En-suite strongly preferred
* A room I can treat as a proper base while I get established in Leeds
