Description
Greetings, my name is Grant, and I’m in the midst of a gentle but intentional transition: leaving behind the beautiful chaos of London and following a quieter path and pull toward Oxford—its greener edges, its slower rhythms, and its closer conversations with nature.
For the past 21 years, freelance photography has been my compass. Ten of those were spent assisting other photographers, a role that carried me across continents, cultures, and countless shared adventures. Those years taught me to value authenticity and a simpler way of living.—shaped by experience, curiosity, and meaningful connection rather than an accumulation of things.
At heart, I believes people and their time are the true treasure.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me heading towards water, woodlands and. open spaces (air) —surfing, paddleboarding, wild swimming, bouldering, cycling, fencing, yoga, or quietly packing the car for another small escape into the outdoors. Weekends are often claimed by road trips, tents, and the simple joy of being somewhere unfamiliar by nightfall.
Home, for me, is a place of warmth and nourishment. I love cooking generous meals, bringing people together around shared plates and lingering conversations—always with enough left over for anyone curious enough to pull up a chair. I value personal growth in all its forms: through movement, stillness, workshops, retreats, and the kind of conversations that go deeper than small talk. Listening matters to me, and I do my best to offer presence and a safe space when it’s needed.
That said, I also appreciate laughter, banter, and a healthy dose of tomfoolery—life should never take itself too seriously.
I’m looking for a home that values kindness, open-mindedness, and mutual respect—a place where everyone honours one another’s space, peace, and a good night’s sleep.
What I’m Looking For;
• Location: Somewhere close to open space; a garden would feel like a small miracle. Oxford is still revealing itself to me—time will tell.
• The Room: flooded with an abundance of natural light and enough reasonable space for my things.
• Budget: £500–£750 pcm (ideally toward the lower end, but flexible for the right place and people).
• Move-In: As soon as possible, though patience comes easily when something feels right.
• Transport: I mostly cycle, but I do have a vehicle for spontaneous disappearances.
If this resonates, say hello and let’s have a chat.
Thanks for your time and consideration.
