Room Wanted July 2026

I’m moving back to the UK after the past 6 years living and working across Europe and Canada, and I’m looking for a place well situated for getting into the city centre, either:

Ideal situation - A mid/longer-term home with people who have their own independent lives but also genuinely enjoy each other’s company from time to time.
OR
A short-term share where everyone largely does their own thing, as a base while I settle back into UK life and find something longer-term.
OR
A 1-bed to myself, if the right place comes up.

Budget really depends on the type of place.

I’m very comfortable with my own space and enjoy living alone, but I’ve been in shares where genuine friendships formed naturally over time and that was great — I’d love to find that again. If I’m staying somewhere longer than a few months, I don’t want to live in a house where we remain complete strangers indefinitely.

I’m clean, tidy, considerate in shared spaces, and appreciate the same from the people I live with. I’d describe myself as independent and sociable, but also very into my own space.

Outside of work I love cinema, music and gigs, cooking, weekend adventures, and quieter evenings reading or watching films. I drink in moderation and generally like a calm, comfortable home environment. I’ve travelled a fair bit, which has been great, but I’m at a stage where I’ll be excited to stay in one place for a while now.

I’m much more interested in finding the right fit than trying to appeal to everyone, so if it sounds like we might get along, I’d love to hear from you.
