Polish researcher; room in West London; buddy-ups

I am a 37y old bio-med researcher working at Hammersmith Hospital (White City, Central Line). Prior to arriving to London I lived and worked in Switzerland. Now I am in London for 4 years and I all of this time I used to rent a whole house in Zone 4. Sadly, I have to find a new place.

Looking for a quiet modern or refurbished place in West London, especially Chiswick, but Acton, Ealing or Shepherd's Bush are also ok. I would like to share it with one or two people maximum.

I am cycling to work as well as during weekend so I need some safe place to store my bicycle. I have quite a lot of books and sports stuff (mostly for hiking), but it can go to some storage place outside of the room.

About myself: a quiet person, working till late, but also getting up late. During weekends I am usually away. My hobbies are mostly outdoor activities (cycling, hiking, scuba diving, climbing, gardening, kayaking), but also like Asian food and reading. I do like cats :)
