Description
Hiya, I’m Maisie 😊
I’m a 29-year-old looking for a spacious double room in a clean, relaxed and sociable flat/house share, ideally with access to a private bathroom. I’m open to joining an existing household or buddying up to find a new place together, which I’ve done before and has worked well.
I’m tidy, considerate and I believe easy to live with (lol, I know everyone says that). I appreciate having my own space, but would like a flatmate who’s up for being social now and then – whether that’s a chilled evening in, going out for food or heading for drinks. Equally, I’m very happy for us to do our own thing and have our own lives, whilst not feeling the need to tip-toe around one another.
I’m definitely a social-but-not-constantly-social kind of person. I enjoy going out for food, drinks, sourcing the best music in town and getting to gigs/festivals or going on trips when I can. But, I’m equally happy having a cosy night in with a takeaway and a film/series. I like to have a good balance of in/out, solo/social and whatever season it is can definitely have an effect on this too.
I’ve been renting for nearly 10 years in a mix of setups, so I’m very used to shared living. Ideally looking to live with a friendly, respectful person(s) who’s on a similar wavelength when it comes to keeping the place clean and looking after shared spaces. I’m quite affected by my environment, so feel best in a calm, tidy home where everyone pulls their weight and cleans up after themselves. Nothing too strict though, just a relaxed place where things are looked after and feel easy to live in.
I also like making a space feel more like home. I have some plant babies, use low lighting (no big light EVER), candles and love to add personality through art, books and décor. Generally, I prefer somewhere that feels lived-in rather than a ‘landlord special’.
I’m in full-time work and work from home at least 1 day a week, although some weeks it can be more, so having a comfortable space during the day is a bonus – whether that’s enough space for a desk in my room or just somewhere I can comfortably work from.
Trying to get back into the gym, so I’d love a gym buddy to motivate me to actually go. I like to get a swim in once a week, would go more often if swimming didn’t mess up my hair so much. Otherwise, I’m a fairly easily distracted gal who can lose a questionable amount of time to my phone/laptop.
I’m single, but I do have friends who I love to see and sometimes host! I’d love us to feel comfortable having friends over. I may occasionally have friends over for food or the odd stay if they’re visiting from outside Manchester, and I’d want the same to go both ways – obviously with a bit of communication and consideration so it works for everyone.
I’m ideally looking for a long-term let (1 to 2 years, possibly longer) and hoping to move September/October/November, but would like to have a bit of a ‘feel things out’ period to make sure we’re the right fit for one another.
Bonus points if you have a dog or a cat.
If you've got a room or are looking to team up, message me.
