Looking for a studio, house-share, or buddy-up

Hi, I am a writer/editor, and former university lecturer. I am looking for a studio or shared house in London or Brighton/Lewes, or Yorkshire/Hebden Bridge for at least a year while I finish various writing projects.

I am a UK/US national, friendly, youthful, easy to be with, while also doing my own thing. I like time to myself but also enjoy a glass of wine and conversation about all sorts. I work hard, but like to have fun too.

I would like either a studio or a house share, also happy to 'buddy up' with female housemates.

It would be nice to make a friendly household of independent people doing any kind of interesting work. Given my own background, people who work in universities would also be most welcome - grad students, lecturers etc. I hope to find a reasonably quiet but friendly living space.

I am a former Labour Party member, leaning Green these days, and I still campaign on a few issues. Not rigid or humorless about it, like a good discussion, but I would not enjoy living with a Tory!
