Description
Double room available from the beginning of September in our cozy two bedroom flat near Dundee city centre (flexible start date), preferably for postgraduate students and young professionals. The location is ideal for communicating to St Andrews.
The room is fully furnished and comes with:
- chest of drawers
- two big built-in wardrobes
- desk and chair
- thermal curtain and roller blind
- big desk and office chair
- cork board
- bed with memory foam mattress, pillows, bed linen and (summer and winter) duvet.
There is one shared bathroom with an electric shower and a bathtub. The kitchen is fully fitted and equipped with gas stove, washing machine and gas oven. There is a big and bright dining and sitting room facing southwest.
The gas heating is controlled by a thermostat and there is double glazing throughout.
Internet is with an ultra fast fibre connection.
The flat is located in the Stobswell neighbourhood, roughly ten minutes from the bus station and fifteen minutes from the city centre. There is also a very good bus connection to UoD campus, Abertay University and Edinburgh (both airport and city centre via Ember bus, with bus stop 5 minutes from here!).
The area is quiet and provided with supermarkets (Lidl and Greens), medical centres and a pharmacy at less than 5 minutes.
You'll be sharing the flat with me, a PhD student in design history, and my partner, who's an anthropologist. We are sociable and like spending time with our flatmates if it suits them, but we're also very respectful of personal spaces.
We like to maintain the house a quiet environment, especially because we both work from home. Cleanliness and tidyness are also quite important for us for a good flat share.
We often take the chance to travel or visit our families in Italy even for long periods. For this reason we are looking for a reliable person who is willing to take good care of the flat and is fine with living on their own.
We're also strictly looking for a non smoker.
Unfortunately we cannot accommodate couples, but partners or guests are very welcome for periods agreed in advance.
The energy bills vary depending on usage and weather conditions (the average range is 40-75 pcm).
Broadband is 11£ per month. Council Tax (92£), if applicable, is not included.
Minimum stay 12 months.
