Description
Hello! We’re Geoff, Miri and Chris and we’re looking for a friendly person to come and share a lovely rented home in Bishopston. The house is a 3 min walk away from Gloucester Road with loads of interesting shops/cafes/businesses nearby. There’s on-street parking and it’s also quick and easy to grab a bus to the centre, or out to Filton. It’s a beautiful area and far away enough from Gloucester Road so that you don’t have to contend with noise or busy traffic :)
Our lovely housemate Jade is moving out next month and as such we are looking for another girl to move into her room. The room itself is £400 a month (excluding bills). The whole house came unfurnished so we have filled the rest of it with our own furniture etc but any new housemate would need to furnish their own room. We’re hoping to find a female housemate as we like the 50:50 split and would like to keep it balanced :)
There’s a shared living/dining room, a kitchen, an upstairs bathroom with a bath/shower and a small downstairs toilet as well. There’s a lovely little garden outside and room for bike storage as well. There is a washing machine and there’s a line for drying in the garden too.
At the moment the bills work out at £80 a month each; this may go up or down depending on how much gas/electricity we use but either way they will be split equally between the four of us.
A bit about us :) : We’re 26, 31 and 39 years old and hoping to find a new housemate of roughly the same age. I’m a self-employed fitness instructor teaching a range of exercise classes around Bristol from Pilates to Spinning and all sorts of others. I also do some Personal Training and hoping to add Yoga teaching into the mix at some point too. Geoff is a wood-turner specialising in hand-turned wooden bowls but can make all sorts of beautiful things out of wood; he also teaches pole-lathing and different wood-crafting courses. Chris is a post-grad at UWE studying robotics and also lectures there too. As far as free time goes we all love going climbing and getting a mix between some lovely outdoorsy activities (walking, running, cycling, surfing, mountains etc) and some cosy inside things (cooking, watching films, playing board games, lots of cups of tea with friends etc). Other interests include gardening, drawing, yoga and music.
Hoping to find a friendly, sociable new housemate. Sorry but we can’t accept smokers, couples or those on housing benefits.
If all this sounds like something that would suit you then please do get in touch and tell us a bit about yourself! Please include your name, age, sex, preferred moving in date and preferred length of tenancy.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Miri, Geoff and Chris.
