Description

Sunny, unfurnished double room available in big house in St. George/ Troopers Hill way.

It's £600 a month, bills extra - come in about £120 per month for internet, water and electricity. Less in summer. Council tax on top.

Available in one to two months. Three months’ probation to see if we are a good fit. Ideally looking for a longer term let.

Deposit is £600.

House Information: The house is homely with an open plan lounge and dining room as well as a massive bathroom with bathtub. The lounge has fairy lights and houses many trinkets. Mostly crab, egg and prawn related treasure.
The kitchen is well stocked and great to cook in. There's a utility room with dishwasher!

There's always parking outside, space for a bike in the shed or outside, large and lovely sunny garden for BBQs, dinners, chilling and a bit of gardening. Two veg growing patches.

The house is also home to a cat called Freddie Mercury. His other names are Mr. Miggin's and Fredicles Bum Bum. I spend a lot of my time following him around serenading him with made-up songs.

He is an old boy now and has a few health issues, so would need someone who is an animal lover and understands this. He’s very sweet, and loves nothing better than to head bump, kiss, chat and to snuggle up with you.

The area is close to Troopers Hill nature reserve, Conham river park, and a five minute bus journey to Church road/ 20 mins walk. 30 mins bus ride from the centre and buses are regular.

Good home for nature, creative makers, music and animal lovers.

There's a great chippy round the corner and the best local pub is called The Swan.

A bit about me: I'm 38 and an artist from Bristol. I like making hairy eggs, dancing next to a big stack (on occasion), reading, playing games, festivals, animals, laughing about nothing and hanging out with my mates being daft.

I like music with bass - DnB, Jungle, Footwork, Acid, Donk, Gabber, Techno, Breakcore and Dancehall, as well as Soul, Disco, Pop, Punk, Hip Hop...I mean, I love a bit of everything really, and would like someone who enjoys playing music too. Nice to hear others playlists etc. Won't play music really loud or late but do love a kitchen dance.

Love going to car-booty's, watching films on Mubi, charity shopping, dancing, visiting the sea, swimming, walking in nature and being creative.

Occasionally I love a good party. It's not a party house, as I'm getting on a bit now, (tend to go out and be feral about once a month), but similarly it's not a morgue and good times are encouraged. There's a nice big dining room for shared meals as well.

I appreciate my space but also like someone who wants to make a home and not live completely separate lives.

Communal moaning, being silly, making a home, and having a good laugh are needed to get us through this thing called life.

Looking for someone who is considerate and does their share of the house cleaning via a rota. I'm clean but can be messy! Happy to work around this as there will be times when we're too tired to do it - that's fine as long as we can discuss this as and when. Happy to go halves on getting a cleaner once every two weeks to help us out in between rotas.

At the moment I am working as an admin person for a charity. I'm also a creative workshop facilitator, mental health researcher, artist and a cleaner. My work schedule is not fixed, so I keep random hours and can be pretty flexible. Generally working in the dining room during the week so ideally have someone who works outside the house during the day, or at least for part of the week.

House would suit someone open-minded, practical, kind, creative, fun and chilled. Ability to communicate your needs and boundaries - and discuss any issues in a timely way, is essential.

Would prefer someone who identifies as a woman.

If you're interested send me a message with a bit about yourself, what you do for fun/ what your pet-hates are/ what you like watching / hobbies/ music etc and please feel free to ask any questions.

The agency has requested a reference and proof of earnings.

Cheers!
