Description

I am renting three rooms in my property, but at present only have one room available. However this room will not suit everyone so please read the description before responding to my ad.

The room is a single measuring 2.9m x 2.2m. It has a cabin bed set at high level and accessed by an oak ladder. There is a sofa beneath the bed, a chest of drawers and some high-level built in shelves.. Given the nature of the bed you will need to be relatively agile to access it and ideally under 6' / 1.83m. I have slept in the bed myself on numerous occasions and so can vouch for its comfort. Though the room is quite small it is well set out added to which the tenant is not confined to that space, having the full use of the living room and garden, and of course the bathroom and kitchen.

The house is bright and airy with a large garden. Bristol, Bath, Wells and Radstock are all within commuting distance. There is a bus stop close by, but ideally you will need a car as this is a rural location. Tesco, Lidl and Sainsbury are all a short drive away. The village in which the house is located has two pubs and a Co-op store all within easy walking distance.

All the usual amenities are available in the house: a washing machine, microwave, electric cooker with fan assisted oven, television and wireless broadband. There is a good sized kitchen, a large shared living room with a wood burner and tidy bathroom with bath and electric shower. There is also storage space in the loft should you need it.

I am clean, easy going and reasonably tidy. I would like you to feel at home in my home, but will of course respect your privacy and would appreciate it if that was reciprocated, after all we all need our own space.

Given the present situation regarding the price of gas and electricity I would prefer tenants who do not work from home, do not work nights and have some tolerance to the cold i. e. having the heating on is fine, but is anyone going to be able to afford to have it on as much as they used to? We might all have to chuck on an extra sweater this winter. Fortunately the wood burner does a great job of heating the living room and there is ample wood to burn. The rent covers all bills, with the caveat that some upward adjustment may be required if heating costs spiral out of control, but this adjustment is not a given.

I look forward to hearing from you.
