Description
We are looking for a lovely new housemate for our three bed ground level flat, right near the fabulous Gloucester Road. We are Andy, 32 and Jenny, 30. We have lived here for over two years, become good friends and hoping to find someone to join us. It's more of home, not just a house, kind of vibe.
A bit about us - The dynamic is friendly and open minded. We are sociable, not a big party house and clean(ish!). We spend time together as a house, occasional house dinner, pub trips (in a normal world!), walks, gigs. Interests wise - Andy plays guitar and Jen has a piano/sings and we like a good film, YouTube session or board game. We also have our separate friendship groups and like our own space as well. Andy is a care worker and Jenny is a social worker, so in terms of covid stuff we're both still working in the community but taking all precautions necessary.
House - The flat is two floors out of a three floor building. There's one flat above us. We have three bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. On the ground floor there's a large open plan living room/dining space linked to the kitchen. There's a terrace garden where we sometimes have food/drinks and bbq. Also a small (slightly unkempt!) front and back garden area. The flat comes unfurnished but the shared areas are essentially sorted. The property has space for bikes, and there's plenty of storage in and out the house. On street parking is free.
Room details - The bedroom is at the front of the house, first floor. It's a small double and has a separate large in-built cupboard. The bedroom space is shown on the video on the ad.
Area - we are bang in the middle between St. Andrew's and Montpellier and just by the Arches, the city train station is 2 minutes, town centre is a 20 minute walk. Our area is a luxury - loads of independent shops, pubs and the lovely St Andrew's park.
Rent - £385 per month (Bill's not included), deposit £550 (goes to a deposit scheme)
Bill's- £100 per month (incl. Internet but no TV licence)
Contract/timescales: the room is currently vacant and we are looking for someone to move in asap. It's a year contract, then goes to rolling monthly. This is a privately rented property, so no letting agent/admin fee.
Preferences - open to everyone. Couples are a no I'm afraid.
