Description

Welcome and thank you for viewing my advert.

My home is a hilltop penthouse apartment in Weston-super-Mare with stunning views of the sea (Weston Bay), The Marine Lake, The Grand Pier and the promenade.

The apartment is located 45 min away from Bristol via motorway, 1 hr from Cardiff and 2hr 45min from London. Beautiful North Devon Coast is 2hr away. Mendip Hills Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty is a 30 min drive away; there are many other wonderful outdoor areas that are available to access via car/train/bus.

The seafront promenade, The Marine Lake and Weston Beach is a 5-10 minute walk away. Weston Woods are a 5 min walk away. There is a corner shop 5 min walk away. There is a large Tesco supermarket 20-30 min walk/5 min drive away. The Weston-super-Mare train station is a 20-30 min walk/5 min drive away. The closest GP practices/dental surgeries and pharmacies are 20 min walk/5 min drive away. Weston General Hospital is 50-60 min walk/10 min drive away. Weston College and Weston University Centre (main campus) are 10-15 min walk/less than 5 min drive away. There is a couple of bus stops on South Road and surrounding streets, and the main bus stop area is 15-20 min walk away on the seafront promenade.

Access to the apartment is from the main road which offers on-street parking without restriction. A key will be provided for the building's front door and also the apartment door, which can be found at the top of two flights of stairs.

The apartment consists of 3 large, private bedrooms, a living room/lounge, a kitchen, a bathroom and a separate WC.

Currently available is a large (4m x 5 m or 13 ft x 16 ft) private bedroom with spectacular, panoramic sea views, which have to be seen to be fully appreciated. This room is for a single occupant only. Two skylights and the front- aspect windows make this room feel spacious, bright and airy.

The room is finished in neutral colours and materials and furnished with a king-sized bed and mattress, two bedside cabinets, two bedside lamps, a double wardrobe with a coat rack, a chest of drawers (4 draws), a built in office desk and an office chair. Bedding, one duvet cover set, and one set of towels (face, hand, bath) can also be provided upon request. All bills are included in the price. There is no TV licence at this property.

This bedroom has a shower cubicle you can see on the photos, but it is not functional and the usage of it is not included in the rental price.

Apart from the private bedrooms, all other rooms are for communal use without restrictions. Unlimited, fast internet is available throughout the apartment.

The kitchen is fully equipped with a Hotpoint cooker with 4 gas hobs, grill and 2 ovens; a microwave; a full sized fridge/freezer. You will be given a designated space in the fridge/freezer and in the kitchen and bathroom cupboards. You will be able to access all the appliances, crockery, pots and pans, so long as this is done in a respectful and considerate way.

A large-load washing machine, an iron and an ironing board are also available for shared use. Cleaning products can be included for additional £5 per month.

The bathroom has just been renovated to a fantastic modern standard.

Toilet is separate from the main bathroom and also has a small sink.

Pets or smoking are not allowed in the property.

Please note we have a very friendly female Ragdoll cat Lulu living at the apartment, so you must be a person who enjoys being around animals.

No children are allowed at the flat (unless visiting, and with prior consent from landlord due to my occasional working from home arrangements)

There will be a total of 3 people living at the property, including me, you and another lodger.

About me:

I am a live- in landlord, but I do travel a fair amount. I’m professionally a nurse/psychotherapist/Yoga teacher. I am respectful and considerate and would like the same in return from the flatmate.

I like to keep things fairly clean, and I would expect the flatmate to help out with the cleaning of the communal areas as per a rota which is up for negotiation/discussion.

I keep to myself a fair amount of time, but I would also like to be able to have a flatmate with whom I could perhaps develop a friendship, or at least be able to have some shared social time with sometimes.

I am vegetarian, and will give preference to other vegans/vegetarians, but omnivores will also be considered if you are willing not to store/cook meat & fish at the apartment (dairy and eggs will be ok).

I'm happy for you to have 1
overnight guest on max 2 nights per week for a small supplement for wear/tear/utilities use (£3 per night). Your daytime visitors will of course be welcome for reasonable amounts of time, and being respectful of noise levels for comfort of other flatmates; No parties will be allowed unless with a prior discussion and agreement with me.

Other than the above, I would like to invite you to my apartment, which hopefully will make you feel at home. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

PS. This room is available to view now with rental starting on 9th of April
