Student Rooms to let in Cranfield village

THE HOUSE:
This Student Rental house is situated on a quiet housing estate in Cranfield village and comprises 4 student bed/study rooms. They are priced according to the room sizes - Room 1 is the largest and Room 4 is the smallest. Please note that Room 1 is currently occupied by a male student on a 3 year PhD course.

PLEASE NOTE- The rooms are only available to students at Cranfield University on a course for at least 1 academic year

Every room is equipped with a bed, a desk/table, office chair, and clothes storage. Broadband is available throughout the house.

Apart from the individual rooms, all occupants have the use of a fitted kitchen containing an electric oven and hob, a fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine, rice cooker and electric kettle. The kitchen also has a full stock of cutlery and crockery for all occupants to use.

Next to the kitchen is a communal lounge with a door onto the back garden and patio.

Upstairs there is a communal bathroom containing a large shower, toilet, wash basin towel drying rack and a set of drawers for each student to store personal toiletries.

Heating: - the house has a gas boiler which heats up radiators throughout the house and provides hot water on demand, 24/7

Beyond the monthly rent and the security deposit, there are no other charges.

As the landlord, I am responsible for the gas, electricity, water and broadband charges. I also look after the front and rear gardens.

All people living in houses in England are required to pay a Council Tax charge. This is used to pay for utilities such as street lighting, fire, police, trash collection, etc. There are bands which set the level of payment required. This house is Band B. However, in a house where ALL the occupants are students, those occupants are exempt. I apply for the exemption on students behalf.

TRANSPORT:
There are regular buses which travel between the towns of Bedford and Milton Keynes, coming through Cranfield village on the way to and from the Cranfield campus. The nearest bus stop is a 5 minute walk from the house.

A lot of students prefer to cycle to and from the campus and there is a storage shed in the back garden of the house where students can keep their bikes.

Very occasionally, a student has a car. Free parking is in marked but unallocated bays on the road outside the house.

VILLAGE AMENITIES: within easy walking distances are a pharmacist, 2 supermarkets, 2 pubs, a dentist, a doctors surgery, and various restaurants and take-away outlets. The village is surrounded by public footpaths taking you out into beautiful countryside to explore.
