Description
I live in a friendly, quiet neighbourhood on the Houghton Regis/Dunstable border close to the village green and local ammenties. 5 mins walk to woodlands/park, 15 mins walk to Dunstable town centre, 5 mins drive to M1. Bus stop (various routes & busway) at the end of the road, walk and cycle paths to Dunstable and Luton from outside the front door. Close to Woodside Estate, Luton and Dunstable Hospital and Luton Airport.
I am looking for friendly, tidy, professionals to share my home with my husband Nick and his cat Pip.
Jo works from home as an artist after a career in the Education and Charity sectors as a professional landlord for the YMCA and Open Door, teaching English to speakers of other languages. Her husband Nick, a fellow artist, has previously worked in Sales IT and the car industry. He is currently an Assistant Manager for a Dunstable Charity Shop. His cat Pipin also lives here, knows she isn’t allowed upstairs or in any bedrooms. Her main occupation sleeping, followed by eating and exploring the local neighbourhood fuelled by her natural curiosity.
Full use of a well stocked kitchen, complete with dishwasher. oven, washing machine, toaster, microwave, air fryer, egg maker, sandwich toaster, pots and pans etc.
The bedroom has its own sink unit.
No need to bring your own cooking equipment unless you as you would like to store it in your own room. Designated shelves available in fridge, freezer space if required and dry food storage is available in our shared kitchen.
Broad band access. No cleaning rotas! Any assistance with keeping communal bathroom, kitchen, downstairs toilet and hallway is appreciated.
There is plenty of on street parking available and outdoor safe bike parking if required.
Deposit & a months rent up front , plus two references required to secure the room.
Jo has worked and traveled overseas extensively and loves having International lodgers and short term guests. If you are a non British citizen, UK law requires landlords to check guests original passports/ID and work, student or tourist visas, on arrival at the property, usually during a pre move in visit, depending on the reason for your stay. Please don’t be embarrassed by this, it’s to help everyone safe and reduce illegal immigration and people trafficking.
Looking forward to meeting potential new lodgers. Message me to find out more and arrange a viewing.
Kind regards
Jo on behalf of Nick and Pip (the cat)
