We live within 3mins walk of Houghton Hall Park, a weekly free Saturday morning park run, nature rich community space, a heaven of peace, yet with great transport links by car or public transport.

The busway is at the end of the road, by Morrisons supermarket,10 min walk away. Buses to Dunstable, Toddington, Luton airport and train stations, which connect to Bedford and St Pancras/Kings Cross, the ‘Bedpan line’ which also takes you to Gatwick and Brighton on the south coast, a great day trip. Heading north? Milton Keynes train station and shopping centre, MK Dons, IKEA, Bletchley park and national computer museum are only 15 miles away, by bus or car. Bedford, St Albans, Leighton Buzzard, Flitwick, Aylesbury and Harpenden are also an easy commute by car, less frequently by bus.

On foot or bike? 15 min walk from the front door takes you to Bedford Square, local shops, cafes, medical centre, library or in the opposite direction into Grove Park, across Dog Kennel common to Dunstable, theatre, pubs, shops, banks, supermarkets cafes and the Priory, Dunstable Downs, Whipsnade Zoo, National Trust tree Cathedral, gliding club and more. It’s of picturesque villages, historic architecture, rolling countryside and National Trust places such as Shaws Corner, Ascot House, Ashridge, Wimpole and more.

Jo, works from home as an artist after a career as a teacher, professional landlord for the YMCA and Open Door, as well as various Project Management roles in the charity sector including the Red Cross and Keech Hospice Care. Her husband Nick, a fellow artist, has previously worked in Sales, IT, car trade and Asda. He is currently Assistant Manager at a Dunstable Charity Shop. His cat, Pipin also lives with us, her hobbies are sleeping and eating.
