Hardwood floor and a fake fireplace

Hello,

My name is Emilio and I'm searching for a lodger to move into my spare room. Having spent a few years renting with live-in landlords, I hope I can be a fairly empathetic (and flexible) landlord (although I realise it might not be for everyone, living only with a landlord).

The boring stuff: the house has one bathroom, a washing machine, an 80ft garden/jungle and a little shed, (free) street parking available, broadband and a log burner (for when Putin finally turns the taps off). I do eat meat in moderation (including pork), in case this may be a consideration.

Bills: The house is Council Tax band C, altogether the bills should roughly be about £150 a month max (depending on the season).

A little about me: I am about to take a career break from working as a maths teacher at a University in London. In my spare time I'm mostly pottering about, seeing friends, cooking, watching films, playing video games or playing the guitar and the drums. In the new year I hope to go travelling a bit, so the hew housemate should be ok with periods of living alone.

What I'm looking for: Ultimately I want the house to be a home, so I would ideally like someone who I can have a good rapport with. Someone who would up for conversation, films, and hopefully cooking together from time to time. Balance is essential, I don't expect us to be in each others' pockets, but I don't want a lodger who will be a complete stranger. To maintain a gender balance, I would prefer not to live in an all-male household.

I'm sure I've left a whole heap out, so please feel free to ask. I tend to prefer viewings as that way we can see how we get on in real life.
