A bright and generous double room is available in my comfortable family home, perfect for someone who values their own private space alongside easy, friendly company when they want it.

The essentials

Rent is £700 per month, fully inclusive of bills, with a deposit of £700. The room is fully furnished (see photos) and ready to move into from 15th August. No unexpected extras and no bills to juggle, just one simple monthly payment.

The accommodation

The room sits on the top floor of the house, which is effectively your own private retreat. I work from home and my 27-year-old son lives here part time, so for roughly half the week you'll have that entire top floor to yourself. It's a peaceful spot away from the main comings and goings of the house.

You'll have your own private bathroom, complete with a full-size bath and a shower attachment, so no sharing and no morning queues. There's off-road parking on the driveway, so your car has a secure and convenient home too. The communal areas are welcoming and kept clean, and you're very much free to use and enjoy them as your own.

Who I am and what to expect

I run my own business from home, so the house has a calm, settled feel during the day. I'm easy-going, respectful of privacy, and I keep myself to myself when that's what's needed, but I'm equally happy to share a cup of tea and a chat. My son is friendly and low-key, and his part-time presence means the house has a nice balance of quiet stretches and a bit of gentle life.

The atmosphere here is genuinely relaxed. This isn't a house of rules and rotas, but it is a clean, tidy and cared-for home, and I'd like it to stay that way.

Who I'm looking for

I'm looking for a professional, non-smoking female who is considerate, tidy and respectful, and who treats a shared home the way they'd treat their own. You'll clean up after yourself, keep your space in good order, and happily do your bit to keep the shared areas pleasant for everyone. Unfortunately I'm not able to accommodate pets.
