The One Where You Move In. A Friendly House Share

Hi, my housemates (Alice) and (Max) are looking for a new housemate to join them as I (also a Max) am moving out this year. Up for grabs is a spacious, bright, 3.5m by 3m double bedroom in a friendly young professional houseshare. See below for further details. The room is available from 02/01/2025.

About the House:
The house is located on the quiet Star Road in Caversham over the road from The Red Cow pub, it is within walking distance from the station, and a 2 minute walk from the local co-op.

The house features: three bedrooms; a communal office (a desk and comfortable chair); a modern bathroom; a second toilet room; a communal lounge with a large flat screen TV; a modern kitchen complete with a dishwasher, gas hobs, microwave, fan oven, grill, fridge, freezer, plenty of storage, and a washing machine. There is also a garage, attic, and shed for storage purposes.

Parking:
Alice and Max both have a car which they both park on the double driveway, however, there is free parking along our road and the adjoining Amersham Road, so you and your guests will never be short of a parking spot by the house.

About Your Room:
Your room is a spacious 3.5m by 3m, front of property bedroom complete with: a double bed and mattress; wardrobe; optional desk; draw set; bedside table; lamp; and blackout curtains. (NOTE: the desk and some of the furniture in the room will be leaving with me when I move, but all listed furniture will be staying. Bedding is not included).

About the housemates:

I’m Alice the resident Northerner. I’m a paralegal training to be a solicitor in Reading. Will either be in the gym, at work or back in my homeland. Very chatty and love meeting new people. Always keen for a movie night and usually will supply the house with baked goods.

I’m Max, in my free time I am a musician, enjoy going to the gym, and I am a chartered accountant working in Reading. I’m also a fan of hanging out watching TV or a movie every now and then, but equally enjoy going for a chill day out. Not really a night owl, so won’t be a pain if you need sleep for work. (Also pretty good at bios when I don’t use chatgpt).

About you:
Well really I'm hoping you can fill us in on this. But, I can at least tell you what we’re hoping for! We’re really looking for someone to bring into the house dynamic, not just live with us. We don't really have much in the way of criteria, we are just looking for someone we click with in the right way, can hang out when they're feeling social, and won't kill us in our sleep. We won't be running this as first come first serve, but we will want to meet you beforehand to see if we all get along.
