An older couple are seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

The husband has mobility issues, so they would like a Sharer who could be in the home for a little company and reassurance when the wife goes out sometimes.

A little ad hoc practical help with cooking a few healthy meals, light household chores (there is also a cleaner), feeding the dog and making a drink/snack would also be appreciated.

The accommodation on offer is good-sized bedroom furnished with two single beds, wardrobe and chest of drawers, and its own bathroom.

The property is located in a rural Hamlet outside Cookham Dean, Berkshire, so a car driver is essential. Maidenhead is just 10 minutes’ drive away.

The person’s interests include sports, current affairs and watching documentaries. They live a quiet life but enjoy a little chat. There is a very gentle terrier (non-molting) so a dog lover is essential. There is also a very large garden.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally works from home some of the time, and shares some of the person’s interests.
