**Welcome to our house!**
I am the landlord and currently based in Manchester, so I am only in Goring about once a month.
If you’re not familiar with Goring, it’s a charming village on the Berkshire/Oxfordshire border, nestled along the River Thames. The village has a lovely selection of shops, cafes, pubs, and restaurants, along with a centrally located train station. There are fantastic walking routes and plenty of community activities, including cricket and football clubs and pub quizzes. If you’re after a peaceful, picturesque place to live with lots of fresh air and green spaces—but still within an easy commute to Reading, London, or Oxford—Goring is the perfect spot.
The house itself is a quiet 3-bedroom bungalow, ideal for professionals. It’s just a 10-minute walk to the train station, with direct services to Reading, London Paddington, and Oxford—perfect for commuters.
We have parking for up to four cars and two spacious gardens for relaxing outdoors. Inside, the house features a well-equipped kitchen, two shared living spaces, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms.
Gabriela, who works locally as a teacher, lives in the garage conversion, leaving the rest of the house largely unoccupied. This makes it an ideal setup for someone working remotely or on a hybrid schedule.
**About the Room**
The available room is a spacious double, fully furnished with a double bed, mattress, large wardrobe, chest of drawers, and bedside table. There’s plenty of room to make it your own. It’s a quiet space located adjacent to the bathroom.
**About You**
We’re looking for a sociable, friendly housemate who will help keep the house clean and tidy.
As the landlord, I’m flexible when it comes to contract arrangements and happy to consider specific requests, such as notice periods. If there are any personal touches you’d like in your room, I’ll do my best to accommodate them. Rent is negotiable, and I’m happy to discuss details with interested tenants.
