Hello Everyone,
I am Vanessa, 48 yrs old (but very young at heart!) half English half French, mum to Harrison who is 9.5 and Romeo our cat. I speak English, French and Spanish.
Looking at the photo of the exterior of the house the room is located directly in front of the silver car.
The room can be entered into through the utility room (which connects to kitchen) and is on the ground floor. The room also has another door which opens onto the garden which is great in summer time.
There is a fire alarm in the room.
The white double wardrobe will be emptied for your use along with the large drawer unit under the tv, 2 very large drawers under the small double bed and another smaller drawer unit with storage space.
The rest of the accommodation is upstairs where my son Harrison and I sleep.
The room is painted cream with beige carpet and currently has a desk and chair instead of the coffee table (I will update photos soon). There is a fairly new very comfortable blue sofa with matching Ralf Lauren fabric curtains and a wall mounted Samsung 40 inch smart tv.
This room is very quiet as it does not have any rooms above it - all previous lodgers have commented on how comfortable the bed is and what a good nights sleep they get.
The house is completely detached and backs onto a secondary school’s playing fields and is not overlooked by neighbours. Our road is quiet as it is on a dead end road.
The house is only 9 years old.
Dishwasher, 2 ovens, gas hobs, washing machine, microwave, water softener and fridge freezer.
Downstairs you will have your own WC just for your personal use (toilet & sink) and upstairs there is an ensuite shower off of my bedroom and also an additional bathroom with a bath tub/hand held shower/wc/sink. I would be happy for you to have access to both.
I have a cleaner who comes roughly every 2 weeks for 6 hours and this is also included in the rent. However, I am looking for someone who values a clean home and will clean shared spaces as they go.
We have a nice calming garden with garden furniture (table, chairs loungers parasol) overlooking a lot of beautiful old trees (forest vibe) with lots of wildlife.
The kitchen has a big table and is open plan into the lounge.
The house is extremely light, lots of windows and 2 sky light windows in kitchen.
We have Fibre WiFi available.
Underfloor heating in kitchen.
Rent is £1250 per month including all bills and also includes your council tax payment should you need to be added (students or those already paying Council Tax elsewhere are exempt).
I am the owner of the property.
Ideally, I am looking for someone who does not work from home as I do.
There is free 24 hr parking across the road from the house or you can park in front of the drop kerb by the garden gate.
Closest station is Slough even though official postcode is for Langley, the station is about 20 mins walk (25 if you are a slower walker) and fastest trains only take 19 mins into Paddington. Bus stops to catch buses into Slough, Windsor, Uxbridge, Heathrow Airport areas are all conveniently located too.
Slough is also on the Cross Rail train route so there are also fast connection to many other parts of London not just Paddington.
We generally go to upstairs by 7.30 pm on weekdays so it’s very quite downstairs after this time and wake up at 0700 am on weekdays.
I do smoke but only outside and do not allow smoking inside the house at all.
1 month minimum stay.
I would need a copy of your passport/drivers licence please if you were interested in the room.
£1,000.00 Deposit + 1 month rent to be paid before moving in please unfortunately my last tenant gave me a long list of excuses to avoid paying his rent so I am very wise to scammers now!
