Reading Station
5-10 minutes walk away
Description
A lovely and roomy flat in central Reading, 10 minute walk from the station.
My current flatmate is moving out, and I need another one to share rent with. My landlord will need to do referencing and such.
I will want to meet you before making a decision and start the process with my landlord, for we both need to know if we will get on well enough to be able to live together. I'm a trans woman and I'm autistic. You may want to visit the flat as well, to get a better idea of what it's like.
The pictures are from the original advert when I first moved in almost a year ago. Not all the furniture was there (see captions) and the place had some damages, but is liveable and comfortable. There are places where the sealant is damaged, some scratches on walls, children's drawings, but mostly looks fine. Better anyway than it was when I moved in.
Bedroom 1 is single (7 m^2), but contains a double bed.
Bedroom 2 is a lot bigger, contains a double bed, and has en-suite shower room and toilet.
Bathroom with a toilet, for whoever occupies bedroom 1.
Shared kitchen and lounge.
Only one of the two bedrooms is available, I'll be in the other one.
The rent, the bills and looking after the place will be our joint responsibility. We can decide the best way how to pay the rent and the bills. My current housemate transfers money to me, while I pay using standing order or direct debit.
The total rent at the moment is £1450/month, but the landlord told me it was going to increase, but not yet by how much. The individual shares £650 / £850 are estimates based on the assumed total £1500.
The bills are also paid monthly and shared 50–50. Currently they are:
Water – included
Gas and electricity £135.76
Broadband £23.72
Council tax (band D) £237.00
