Beautiful and spacious top floor room and bathroom available on private floor. Situated on on a quiet road near central Reading, this is a really great old school semi detached house with open plan kitchen and dining room, lounge, laundry room, breakfast room and a pretty garden. There are exposed beams and brickwork, designer elements, a grand piano, hot tub, pretty garden, two fairly awesome people, a very happy kid and one really awesome cat. It is walking distance from Reading town centre and station, near bus routes and within easy reach of the university and hospital.

The current incumbents are the homeowners and are both professionals; one is a musician, the other a horse rider. We are pretty laid back, preferring enjoying life to stressing about things, and we like to socialise and see a few good friends regularly; this is a happy and largely stress-free house. If you were living here you would very much have your own space in the entire top floor of the house, but the kitchen and dining areas are definitely communal. We don't really have any house rules beyond leaving your shoes at the door, clearing up after yourself and not smoking inside the house. We’ve lived here for about six years and in that time two people have lived on the top floor, both of whom we think have enjoyed their time here and were in no hurry to leave.

The room features a double bed that is not shown in the photographs. Parking is available either free (a two minute walk away) or with a permit (about £75).

Professionals, students, mature students all welcome, but although there is a double bed (not shown on the pictures) we are not looking for a couple. All bills are included in the monthly rent, and we have a hot tub in the garden. Did we mention that before...?
