Free Accommodation for overnight supervision

LIVE IN-HOUSE SUPERVISOR
Location: Thatcham

Remuneration: Occupancy of fully furnished double bedroom within house, including own bathroom. Full use of all shared facilities.

Young People and Children First (YPACF)
YPACF provides supported housing to 16–25-year-old care leavers and homeless. We provide a family sized home with both emotional and practical support provided by professional support workers. We support our teenagers and young adults so they can lead full, happy and independent lives.

The position and You
We have a vacancy at one of our houses, Rebecca House, for a Live In-House Supervisor.
The successful candidate will have their own day job, and in return for free accommodation at Rebecca House, will provide overnight security and supervision to three young people also residing at the property. They will be supported by the Support Manager and On-Call Manager.

Main duties will include:
• Being present overnight
• Proactively being part of the household. Readily available and approachable to residents
• In an emergency, call the emergency services
• Ensure all residents are in by age-appropriate times, unless otherwise agreed
• Lock both front and back doors
• Along with residents, keep house clean and tidy
• Check communications book daily and record any incidents accurately and timely.

• Engaging and supportive
• Understanding and flexible
• Have experienced of the care system and/or providing child/adult support (preferred).

A full DBS will be sought, and training provided.
