Description
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!
We have a room available from mid-February 2025 in our home and are looking for a new fifth housemate. We're currently 3 guys and a girl (Ricky, Ed, Hope and Will) and are all working professionals aged 24-28.
Ricky, Ed and Will have lived together in Bristol for the past couple of years and Hope joined our lovely household over the summer. Since living together we've all become good friends and have made this place a home, so we are looking for someone who would fit in with this dynamic :) We love a weekly pub quiz and hanging out in the evenings.
The house was renovated just before we moved in February 2024. You have amenities in every direction, with the busiest/best bit of Gloucester Road a short walk through the park, Lidl & Aldi a 15 min walk away and a couple of handy shops less than 5 minutes walk.
Very consistent buses with stops to each side of the house within 5 mins walk, as well as Ashley Down and Montpelier train stations within 10 mins walk. The location is without a doubt the highlight of this house, ironically being cheaper than most areas with the Lidl/Aldi, greengrocers close-by and rarely needing public transport unless you're commuting.
The house came unfurnished, but the common spaces are furnished now so you won't need anything except furniture for your room. The bedroom in the photos (currently with furniture) is the one that will be empty from February. FB marketplace is a godsend and everyone managed to find their own stuff with relative ease. The guys have cars and are more than happy to help with any FB finds.
The house has two nice, bright bathrooms: one a shower/bath & the other a shower. There's two fridge/freezer units so plenty of room for food prep if that's your thing. Garden gets good sunlight and there's a BBQ and space to grow vegetables in spring and summer. All these you'll get a feel for when you have a viewing.
Rent is £780/month per person and bills are about £120 per month, so £900 total. It's a very spacious house for Bristol and the local community is friendly (running a street party annually) and anything left out in front of houses is free to take (which can include furniture), so we get our money's worth.
We have a good relationship with the landlord and they are super responsive, fixing any issues that arise and generally helping us to look after the property.
Feel free to send us a message, we're looking forward to finding someone!
