Lovely room available in quirky cosy 2-bed flat

Hi! I’m looking for a new flatmate for my lovely, quirky 2-bed maisonette just off Gloucester Road in Bishopston as my current flatmate is headed off travelling in September!

The flat:

The flat is a quirky, light and airy maisonette set on the top two floors of a terrace. We have a little front garden and separate kitchen/dining area and living room as well as a funky orange bathroom! The flat has quite a few stairs so that’s something to be conscious of potentially.

I’ve only lived here a couple of months so the flat isn’t quite at it’s full homely potential yet so if you’re down to decorate with me that would be fab! We generally like to keep the flat fairly clean and tidy (I’m quite a clean person all round) and have a nice chilled home environment.

The flat is in a peaceful area just off Gloucester Road, close to Lidl, Aldi, Sainsburys and Co-op and has lots of lovely cafes, pubs and charity shops nearby! We’re very well connected to the rest of Bristol with the Gloucester Road buses and Ashley Down train station close by too! There is on street parking that (I believe) doesn’t require a permit/payment so could work for someone with a car.

The room is a really lovely sized attic room with some built in storage. It’s an unfurnished room (however does come with two sets of drawers, a built in clothes rail and some shelves outside the room!) and has a lovely wooden floor and a lovely high ceiling.

Tenancy Details:

My flatmate is intending on ending their tenancy on the 20th September so the room would be available from the 21st September, so I’m looking for someone willing to officially take over the tenancy then, however, our landlord is happy for us to sort specific dates between us if moving in earlier/later would be more convenient!

Rent is £725 pcm without bills and the property is Council Tax Band B. I can give more info on bills etc. via message if you’d like!

A bit about me:

I’m Flo, I’m 23, and I work in Mental Health while studying for a Masters (but don’t worry I pay council tax!) I’m a fairly social introvert, so I enjoy a good natter and going out but also value my alone time! I currently live with one of my closest friends who’s going travelling for a while so would love to live with someone on a similar wavelength to me that I can have a nice friendship with as well as being flatmates!

I’m very into anything music, arty or crafty - I make jewellery and sew - and am very slowly learning to play the guitar. I love a good chilled night in, watching a film and just having a natter, as well as pub trips and occasional nights out. Also a big fan of exploring local cafes and parks and wandering the charity shops!

Other Info:

- Preferably looking for a female/non-binary young professional (fine to be studying e. g. a Masters as long as you pay council tax!)
- The landlord is keen to have non-smokers in the property and no pets (however the previous tenants did have pets so I think it depends on the pet and temperament etc.)
- Aiming to have a new tenant sorted and paperwork all signed by the beginning of September
- Subject to referencing which will take ~10 days and typical security deposit to pay as well
- Privately managed property by a lovely and responsive landlord who really cares about the property, however, initial paperwork and contract will be done through a letting agency.
- The landlord is keen to have someone intending on staying at least 6 months, as they prefer longer-term tenants.
