Description
Sunny, unfurnished double room available in big house in St. George/ Troopers Hill way.
It's £600 a month, bills extra - come in about £100-£120 per month for internet, water and electricity in winter.
Less in summer- about £80 pppm
Council tax on top.
Available immediately/ need someone in by 1st July. I’ve just had covid and then the tenant supposed to be moving in also got covid so unfortunately the timelines are a bit tight!
Can discuss a few weeks flexibility for the right person.
Three months’ probation to see if we are a good fit. Ideally looking for a longer term let.
Contract til March 2025 and I will look to renew.
Deposit is £625.
House Information:
The house is furnished and homely with an open plan lounge and dining room as well as a massive bathroom with bathtub. I am trying to turn it into a jungle!
The lounge has fairy lights and houses many trinkets.
The kitchen is well stocked and great to cook in. Always happy to share spices, oils, salt etc, just as long as it’s always replaced before it runs out!
There's a utility room with dishwasher.
There's always parking outside, space for a bike in the shed or outside via a proper floor lock, large and beautiful sunny garden for BBQs, dinners, chilling and a bit of gardening. Two veg growing patches.
I’ve just purchased lots of gardening tools so I am keen to begin trying to garden.
The area is close to Troopers Hill nature reserve, Conham river park for picnics and swims, and a five minute bus journey to Church road/ 20 mins walk. It’s 25 mins bus ride from the centre and buses are regular.
Good home for chilled people, nature lovers, creative makers, music and animal lovers.
There's a great chippy round the corner and the best local pub is called The Swan.
A bit about me: I'm 38 and a disability researcher and artist from Bristol. I like making hairy eggs, dancing next to a big stack (on rare occasions now, getting on), reading, going to the pub, festivals, animals, laughing about nothing and hanging out with my mates being daft.
I like music - DnB, Jungle, Footwork, Acid, Donk, Gabber, Breakcore and Dancehall, as well as Soul, Disco, Pop, Punk, Hip Hop...I mean, I love a bit of everything really, and would like someone who enjoys playing music too.
Nice to hear others playlists etc. Won't play music really loud or late but do love a kitchen dance every once in a while.
Love going to car-booty's, watching films on Mubi, watching trash tv, charity shopping, dancing, visiting the sea, swimming, walking in nature and being creative and doing crafts.
It's not a party house, as I'm getting on a bit now, (tend to go out and be feral about once a month), but similarly it's not a morgue and good times are encouraged every now and then. Carriages at midnight style. There’s a fire-pit in the garden for small gatherings.
There's a nice big dining room for shared meals as well.
Communal moaning, honest and open communication, respect, being silly, making a home, and having a good laugh are needed to get us through this thing called life.
Looking for someone who is considerate and does their share of the house cleaning via a rota. I'm clean but can be messy! I try to keep my mess to my bedroom!
I have fibromyalgia so there will be times when I’m too tired to do it and will spend more time resting- I will always communicate this and generally clean once a week and as I go.
My work schedule is not fixed, so I keep random hours and can be pretty flexible.
Generally working in the dining room during the week so ideally have someone who works outside the house during the day, or at least for part of the week.
House would suit someone open-minded, practical, kind, self-aware, creative, fun and chilled.
Ability to communicate your needs and boundaries - and discuss any issues in a timely way, is essential.
Would prefer someone who identifies as a woman.
If you're interested send me a message with a bit about yourself, what you do for fun/ what your pet-hates are/ experience of living in a shared space/ what you like watching / hobbies/ how much stuff you have/ music etc and please feel free to ask any questions.
The agency has requested a landlord and work reference and proof of earnings// DSS accepted.
Cheers!
