Description
I have two rooms available in my house that I am currently doing up. They will be available by end of June but may be available slightly earlier if needed. Rooms can be furnished or unfurnished on request.
Room 1: a good sized double with large west facing window overlooking my garden. Gets an amazing sunset and is very private as the area isn't massively built up. 450 pcm + bills
Room 2: a smaller room that can accommodate a single bed or a small double (with sacrifice of floor/furniture space). I would be open to short letting this room. The room is east facing and gets all the morning sun. It has a large window that opens very wide. Please note this room also has the boiler located in it but it is boxed in and will have sound proofing. The boiler can be controlled via my phone so I won't need to enter the room to control. 350 pcm + bills
About the house: I bought this house back in March and it had been heavily neglected for over 20 years. Since then i have put a lot into it and it has since received a brand new boiler, a beautiful new bathroom, freshly sanded floorboards and a partially new kitchen (currently being finished). As you can see from the pictures I still have some work to do but both the bedrooms will be freshly decorated (which can be to your taste if you wish to have input into this!). It is unlikely there will be any major disruptions e. g. building work but I will still be doing some painting and decorating.
The house benefits from having loads of natural light! The living room has a large bay window. It is east/west facing and gets lots of sun all day. It has a very large west facing garden with plenty of space for growing veg, lounging in my hammock or having dinner alfresco.
The road is very quiet and peaceful with a lovely bunch of neighbours. There is a local corner shop 1 minute away and it is a 15 min walk to church road. There are bus routes very close by.
Who will you be living with?
My name is Hannah, I work as a doctor in psychiatry with the intention of becoming a psychedelic-assisted psychotherapist in the future. I love festivals/raves, yoga, cycling, wild swimming, vegan baking and cooking. I love hosting dinner for my friends. My partner and I are part of the queer/poly scene and would regard ourselves as sex positive. We love going out regularly - we love dance music e. g. techno, house, trance etc. I would not say I want a 'party house' but I do like to host the occasional pres/afters and 1-2 parties per year.
You will also be living with my gorgeous cat Arthur who is a very soft cuddly ragdoll-maine coon mix. He loves people and supervising house activities. He is very low maintenance but may need feeding if i am away.
By the end of the year my partner, Simon, will also be moving in with me. He is currently away in America doing an art project for Burning Man.
Who am I looking for?
I am looking for mature and relaxed individuals of any gender (but preferably at least one woman) who are looking for more communal living and not feel they need to stay in their room all the time! Personal space will be respected of course, but I would like to live with friends not just house mates. Both myself and my partner are both vegan so we would prefer a vegan or vegetarian household but at least no meat within the house. Sharing occasional meals would be a bonus, we get a regular organic veg box which can be shared. I would hope to having housemates accepting of our sex positive vibe and LBGT+ friendly.
