Room available in 2-bed house in St Werburghs

Good sized lovely house with a bright sunny kitchen-dining room which is also knocked through to the front room making a really nice social comfy space. Lots of room with a great kitchen for cooking, 5-ring gas stove, electric oven - and I have an airfryer 😅. Good sized garden with two decks, a lockable shed which has electric outlets, and a private gated driveway. We also currently have a sauna in the garden, but that will go at some point in the next few months as it belongs to a friend of mine!

One bathroom with a bath and electric shower. The house has lots of storage space and is full of plants (can always find space for more!). Front room is super-comfy with a working fireplace for the winter.

The room is a small-to-medium double with more capacity than first meets the eye - it has a built in cupboard and fitted clothes rail, but apart from that comes unfurnished, is a blank canvas and whoever takes it is welcome to decorate. Photos show my current housemate's things in the room, she has put a super king bed in there at present.

Rent is £700 pcm (I pay a larger share of the total house rent as my room is larger) and bills are £200 pcm each (bills are split evenly) - bills include council tax (we are Bristol Council Tax Band B), gas, electric, water, internet and a small donation to "Who Gives a Crap" toilet paper and cleaning products both of which I get delivered.

A bit about me, I'm 43 and work in TV. I like the usual stuff - pubs, live music, festivals, getting outdoors, keeping fit and active etc. I like to cook good food and enjoy hosting people but don't have people around all the time. I'm omnivore in case that a deal breaker for anyone! I'm liberal, LGTBQ+, pro-Palestine and trans rights, non-religious and environmentally conscious, but I'm not what I would describe as 'woo-woo' 😅

Looking for someone ideally in their 30s - 40s who is clean and tidy, respectful, chilled and social, shares my ideals and who likes being silly. Someone who is up for hanging out occasionally in the house, watching the odd trashy TV show with me on the projector, but also has their own things going on.

I want this house to be a home so not looking for someone who always wants to party and have it as a party house, but I'm also not against the odd late night putting the world to rights round the dining table with friends - it's all about balance! If you're green fingered that's a bonus as the garden is crying out for some TLC plus it's good to have someone who can help me keep my menagerie of plants alive!

I have a small black 16 year old cat called Lola who doesn't like other cats or dogs, so sadly as much as I'd be happy for more animals, because of her I can't take anyone with any free-roaming pets. Also no-one with allergies as she has free rein of the house.
