Double Room, Social House, Amazing Location

Hey, we’re looking for a friendly, chill and sociable housemate to join our Brandon Hill clan!

The House
The house is part of a Grade 2 listed town house on Brandon Hill Park, so it’s very central as well as being picturesque and peaceful. It’s a 1-minute walk to Park St, 5 minute relaxing stroll to the dead centre of the city and a 10-minute saunter to Clifton Village.

Amenities
We have it all! Dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, super fast fibre broadband, TiVo, almost every single streaming service, two bathrooms (two showers and a bath), gas stove.

Who are we?
We’re 3 youngish professionals aged between 29 and 34. Abby and Joe are a couple (with separate bedrooms) and Shan is a South African bombshell.

What do we get up to?
We’re all a bit different, but we are all great friends and have lots in common:
• We love playing boardgames from Scrawl to the Game of Thrones Board Game (watch out for Shan, she will double cross you and is very competitive!)
• We love a pint or two at our locals (Three Tuns and Hope and Anchor) and love meeting up with friends on the weekends for some day-time drinking.
• Indulging in crafty stuff. Shan and Abby are currently making decorations for our friends’ wedding, Abby loves to crochet and knit and Shan loves to draw and paint.
• We all really value our friends and love having people around to play board games, watch films and catch up.
• We love going out to events (live music, theatre and exhibitions) and generally being cultured (usually with a pint in hand)
• In the summer, we love to have BBQs and picnics on Brandon Hill. Having the park on our doorstep in summer is priceless!
• We love festivals in the summer both local (Harbour Festival, St Pauls Carnival etc.) and outside the city (Shambala, Glastonbury, etc.) and the occasional night out.
• On weeknights, we’ve been known to binge watch a TV series (most recently, Mr Mercedes, a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms and How to get to Heaven from Belfast) and have movie nights (most recently, Sinners, Weapons and Black Sheep).
• We love good food so we go out for meals on occasion. We love Pasture, Bravas, Gambas and Urban Tandoor to name a few!
• We enjoy PC. Playstation and Nintendo gaming. We have a Switch in the living room for communal use and party games.
• We also like chill downtime, especially on weeknights, and we have friends and family outside of Bristol who we like to visit on some weekends.

What are we looking for?
• Someone we can be friends with. We’re all part of the same friendship group in Bristol and would love for you to join us, and we’d also like to make friends with your mates too!
• Someone who’s sociable, but not a 365 party guy/girl. We love a rave, but we’d typically need good notice nowadays!
• A clean, conscientious person. We’re not saying we’re saints, but we want someone who cleans up after themselves, respects the house’s communal areas and helps with the cleaning when necessary. It really is a great house and we’d like to sustain a nice environment!
• Someone who likes dogs, as we are very often looking after a furry friend
