Double room to rent just off North St. Bedminster

Double room available in a family home in Bedminster, with Mum and 9-year-old twins. It is a large airy end-terrace with three bedrooms and a garden. The twins are good kids and good sleepers, but for obvious reasons housemates must like children!

The area is a vibrant urban area with a great variety of shops, cafes, bars restaurants and theatre. The room is perfect for a professional working in the center or someone who works from home some of the week. The street is permit-free, and generally, parking is not a problem. There is access to the garden from the road and a shed, so perfect for storing a bike etc.

The house is homely and being updated (some rooms complete, others not!) and the room comes furnished with a bed, wardrobe desk, etc. The current lodger has some of their furniture and things in the room so will currently look different to the pictures (last image is current setup). The kitchen has the usual white goods including a washing machine and dishwasher.

This is our home so we are looking for someone who likes to be part of that. With kids the house is not always tidy, but is generally clean! I like having friends over for meals and drinks, and I am happy for a housemate to do the same. I tend to live a quiet life during the week, maybe watching a movie in the evening after work. When I can, mostly at the weekend (when the kids go to their Dads) I like to get out and about with friends and my partner. I am looking for someone I can get along with socially and have a drink with occasionally, but wouldn't expect to always do that! Room not suitable for a couple.

I will need references, and a contract, but nothing out of the ordinary.

The current lodger has given one month notice, which is means I would like someone in by 15 July however the room is available as soon as it is practically possible for her to move out. Available for viewings from Thursday 20 June. I am ideally looking to rent the room out for 6 months to a year
