Description
We're looking for a housemate to move in (ideally long-term) to our flat in Clifton Village, that we've been fortunate enough to call home for the last 5+ years.
The current housemate is leaving mid-tenancy (please don't quite your job unnecessarily!) so we're still sorting exact details, but with upcoming end to fixed-term tenancies, you/we will hopefully be starting a new rolling monthly contract on February 23rd.
Viewings with the 3 existing housemates should be possible on weekday evenings 26th-30th January and 9th-13th February. We won't be choosing someone that cannot make a viewing! But please do enquire even if you can only make a viewing outside of these times and we'll see what we can do.
Current rent is £600 a month, but with the new contract it is likely to go up to £625 now or in the near future. Council tax (Band C) is £48 pppm (again likely to go up slightly in April). Bills for the last year averaged £60 pppm (electricity, water, and wi-fi, no gas). Deposit is currently £535 (way less then 5 weeks rent, so hopefully it stays that way, but may go up by £200).
The room is good size (3.9m x 2.7-3.3m floorspace, 3m high ceiling) and relatively bright and airy (large east-facing sash windows). Furnished with a double bed, desk, small drawers, and built-in wardrobe.
The flat is a maisonette, across 3 floors (sorry, lots of stairs, and even more to get into the flat!), with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (showers), and a small shared kitchen and large living room, above a bookshop in Clifton Village.
Roadside parking is available in the Clifton Village (CV) parking scheme area, though we do already have 1 vehicle assigned to the property. It is a 3-6 minute walk from several bus stops, depending how fast you walk. If you're a student, the landlord will require you have a guarantor, and you'll still need to pay quarter of the council tax as stated above.
We're 3 friends, 2 male (science/engineering researchers) and 1 female (teacher trainee), professionals, owners of pet fish, and lots of plants. We all do are own things, but often cook, watch TV/films, play Wii/card/board games together in the evenings, and sometimes head to a pub. 1 keen runner and we all enjoy spending time outdoors, sometimes exploring Bristol or driving to surrounding areas on a weekend.
We're looking for someone relatively chill, who can cleanup after and quietly occupy themselves, but is also up for being part of the group and enjoys socialising in some of the above settings.
