Description
Welcome to Cornwallis Crescent.
This is a small two bedroom flat in a gorgeous part of Bristol. I have been here for 1 year and now my flatmate is moving into a place with their partner. So I'm looking for someone to come join me.
The flat has high ceilings and is filled with natural light and views across Bristol. Bills are around £220 per month on top, and it is Council Tax band C.
The room itself is small and perfectly formed with enough space for a clothing rail and shelves/drawers in the right configuration.
There is a shared communal space: one living/dining area and another kitchen area. A lot of the furniture here already belongs to my current housemate, and we'll be discussing whether they are looking to sell any of it. However about half the houseplants are still mine, so I intend to retain the leafy natural interior.
The most incredible part of this place is the private communal garden out the back, where we have our own terrace section and access to an acre of private gardens in Clifton. There are several lawns, forest paths, and even a group of chickens that I help look after.
I work part time, run art workshops around Bristol on evenings and weekends, and have a busy social life, so I'm often coming and going at irregular times. However the house is a calm and relaxing space to retreat to and I hope to keep it as peaceful as it is. I'm very laid back and I like wild swimming and nature just as much as a good night out. I describe myself as a well socialised nerd so you'd just as likely find me chatting with new friends at a running club as DM-ing a weekly game of Dungeon's and Dragons.
Ideally, I'm looking for someone a similar age to me who I can get on well with, enjoy conversations with over breakfast or dinner, as well as giving each other space if/when we need it. I've put ideally vegetarian as I'm a veggie, but not too worried if you do eat meat occasionally. Also v LGBT+ friendly as should you be.
The space isn't really suitable for someone who permanently works from home as there's not loads of space, however I work from home 1-2 days per week so there is flexibility.
The house is in a residents parking zone and just outside the Low Emissions Zone. It takes less than 10 minutes to cycle into town and less than 30 minutes to walk in. Clifton Village is a 10 minute walk away and there are lots of local pubs, coffee shops and shops around.
