Description
Hi! I am looking for a new housemate to move in at the start of September as my current housemate is moving in with her bf. There is potential to move in a bit earlier if needed. Sorry no students except PHD students and I'm looking for someone a similar age to me 😊
About the flat:
You'll be sharing the flat with me and my 9 month old dog so its important that you like being around dogs and want to interact with her a bit! It's a basement flat with a garden and open plan living room+ kitchen. Its a 5 min walk to clifton down sainsburys and clifton down train station. The available room is an unfurnished double room and rent is £635 p/m. As my room is slightly bigger I pay £685p/m. The estate agent has generally been increasing the rent by about £50 a year around October time. Bills are currently about £180 each for gas and electric/water/wifi/council tax. If you are interested, my flatmate is looking to sell their bed frame, mattress and wardrobe.
About me:
I'm 29 and I've lived in Bristol for about 5 years. I work from home as a consultant 3 to 4 days a week and on my office day, I send my dog to a petsitter. I'm generally pretty busy in the evenings and at the weekends going to crossfit/doing pottery classes/meeting up with friends and going on dog walks. I'd be up for watching the occasional film together or pub trip 😊 I'm a very tidy/clean person and do a lot of cleaning because my worst fear is the flat smelling of dog. I also like keeping the garden tidy so do a bit of gardening!
About my dog:
She is a 9 month old Skye terrier, she is housetrained and shes a friendly girl! She does still have quite a bit of puppy energy but she is going to dog training. Ideally, it would be good if you would be happy to meet her a few times before moving in so that she gets used to spending time with you and doesn't get too overexcited about a new person moving in. When it's just me and her, she will happily chill on the sofa and watch TV/entertain herself while I'm working but as she is still a puppy/teenager, it might take her a few weeks to become more relaxed with the enw perisn moving in. She is only allowed in the living room/kitchen and I have a baby gate on the living room door so that she can't get into the bedrooms corridors/garden by herself. If I go away for the weekend I will either send her to a pet sitter or take her with me. She is crate trained so I leave her in her crate in my bedroom if I am going out.
Let me know if you'd be interested in coming to see the flat and we can arrange 😊
