Description
Hello,
I am looking for a new flatmate to join me in a 2-bedroom flat in Cotham (Redland). You will be between 30 and 40 years old, like me, and looking for a calm and relaxing home where you are happy to have the occasional dinner/hangout but also happy to do your own thing. You would be moving into a spacious double room in a first floor flat in an end-of-terrace house just a couple blocks from Cotham Hill.
Room details & finances:
The room is light & breezy with large, curtained windows. It is partly furnished, with a double bed frame (no mattress) and a built-in wardrobe. If you would like to bring your own bed frame, the landlord is happy to remove theirs. The contract is for 6 months going onto monthly rolling after that. Monthly rent for the room is £650 before bills, and there is a one month’s rent deposit that will go into a secure deposit scheme at the beginning of the tenancy. Monthly bills, not including council tax, are approximately another £70, depending on energy use. The flat's council tax property band is C.
The flat:
There is one shared bathroom, a galley-style kitchen with a washing machine, mini dishwasher and a nice-sized living/dining room.
No pets (sorry!), and non-smokers only. Also, please no drug use - it’s not really my cup of tea.
Flat lifestyle:
I am pretty tidy and clean and would like to live with someone who is the same. I don’t mind leaving the washing up for the next day if you have had a hectic & tiring day, but I don’t like things being left around for much more than that. My departing flatmate and I got into a routine of cleaning, and I would like to continue with some type of routine if not the same one. I do not want to add a cleaner to our regular bills. In between the cleanings, I prefer that the flat is kept tidy and that we clean up after ourselves if we make a mess cooking, etc.
I am mindful about my use of the flat’s shared spaces and the amount of noise I make, and I like living with people who are as well. It is important that the person who moves in is considerate, open-minded and a good communicator.
A little bit about my interests/hobbies:
I enjoy a good book, the odd tv show and good film, going to the theatre (when I can afford it!), running, a good café, and the occasional drink. I am left-leaning and would prefer living with someone who is of a similiar mindset. My late-night partying days are mostly over, and I would prefer living with someone who prefers a quiet home space. I enjoy sharing meals and hanging out but also like my own personal space. I often do my own thing and would prefer a flatmate who is happy doing the same.
If you are interested, drop a message telling me a bit about yourself.
