Double Room available in Spacious Cotham House

Our housemate is finishing their PhD this summer and we are looking for someone to fill their room for the next academic year.

The house is a large Victorian end of terrace property, with plenty of social spaces including:
- Combined kitchen/dining room with lots of fridge and cupboard space
- Large living room, the TV is Joe's but is used by all of us
- Decently sized sheltered back garden, great for bike storage (although we keep ours locked out front and haven't had any issues)
- 2 bathrooms shared between 4 of us, so you'll only be sharing with one other person

The house is well located, about 15-20 minutes walk from UoB's Clifton campus and about a minute from bus stops for routes to UWE (~30 minutes on bus). It is also very near to the shops on Gloucester Road and only about a 15 minute walk from the city centre.

The room itself is at the top on the house on the second floor and gets plenty of sunshine year round. It is also fully furnished, and comes with a double bed, a desk and chair, a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

The move-in date is 1 July 2026, and the refundable security deposit for the room is £750 - one month's rent. The contract will end in June 2027. The rent is £750 a month and the bills are approximately £80 per month per person altogether.

Council tax: Band E. Although since we're all students we pay none, which is why we're only looking for another student!!!

About us:

We are all PhD students going into our final years at the University of Bristol. Joe is studying astronomy, while Mingcan and Yuyue are doing human geography. We are a sociable house and enjoy spending time together cooking or watching movies and TV. In summer, we like to host BBQs and pizza parties in the back garden, while in winter we host the occasional dinner party including hot pot nights.

We're looking for someone easygoing, tidy, and friendly, and who ideally has a similar work schedule. Obviously, it would be great if we shared our interests, but we’re open-minded so we'll probably find something in common.
