Extra large double room to rent in family home in Downend, close to green spaces and shops with easy access & good public transport links to City centre. Quiet and peaceful area with lovely views onto woodland.
The room is very spacious and light, with new carpet, double bed with comfy mattress & divan drawers under bed, chest of drawers and large wardrobe, this room has views out to the garden and woodland.
Our house is a large extended 1930’s semi-detached with a very spacious feeling, it’s modernised throughout. You'll have use of shared kitchen, dining room, lounge, laundry facilities, shared bathroom and we have a 2nd w/c downstairs.
Location: Downend, between Fishponds and Frenchay. We're in a great location for getting into central Bristol (short walk to bus stop direct to city centre or 25min cycle down along cycle path), easy access to UWE campuses, Science Park, Bristol Temple Meads and Parkway station, as well as good links to motorway.
Local amenities: It's a short 10min walk to supermarket, gyms, local shops, coffee shops and places to eat in Downend, Fishponds is also a 20min walk (or short bus ride). Just around the corner are some great green spaces: Frenchay Common, Lincombe Barn and Vassall's Park.
About us: My partner and I are 'live in' landlords in our 40's and working professionals, and I also teach yoga. We both work hybrid, working from home at times during the week. We also have 1 other male lodger in his late 20’s – he's very easy-going. We all keep the house clean, tidy and it’s a peaceful, relaxing home. My partner and I are both active and sociable, we’re often out in the evenings and away at weekends - so there are times when our lodgers will have the house to themselves.
We're looking to rent the room to a working professional, someone friendly, considerate and tidy. We would prefer a female lodger (students would be considered). NOT suitable for someone who works from home full-time.
No couples, smoking or pets.
