Description
Double Room Available from 1st October 2026
Hi, I'm Belén, and I'm looking for a new lodger to rent a room from **1st October 2026**.
I'm looking for someone who is kind, relaxed, easygoing and respectful, and who enjoys living in a peaceful and harmonious environment. I'm looking for someone who is friendly, enjoys sharing meals and having conversations, and is comfortable engaging with others, while we both continue to have our own independent lives, privacy and personal space.
I appreciate a calm pace of life and a quiet house. This house would suit someone who enjoys a relaxed atmosphere rather than a busy or hectic household.
Keeping the house clean, tidy and well looked after is very important to me. I'm looking for someone who consistently takes responsibility for the shared spaces and is happy to contribute equally to keeping the house pleasant for both of us. This isn't just a preference—it's an important part of living here and part of the commitment of living in the house.
I work as a holistic psychotherapist, providing therapy both online and face to face, from the house and at other locations. When I'm working from the house, I see clients here, so it's important that the environment remains peaceful and quiet during those times. I also spend plenty of time working away from the house, so there are many opportunities for you to enjoy the house on your own.
## The room
The room is a small-medium double bedroom with:
* Double bed
* Wardrobe
* Desk
* Chest of drawers
It overlooks the garden, so it is bright and sunny.
The bathroom, kitchen and garden are shared. The kitchen is spacious enough to cook, eat and relax. The living room is not shared on a regular basis, as it is my therapy workspace. However, I'm happy to agree occasional use under reasonable conditions.
## The location
The house is in **Easton**, next to the Bristol & Bath Cycle Path. It is within walking distance of Stapleton Road and Lawrence Hill train stations, with good bus connections and easy access to the M32.
Nearby you'll find Tesco, Lidl, Iceland and plenty of independent local shops. The house is also next to a small park, and the neighbourhood is friendly and peaceful.
## A little about me
I'm a holistic psychotherapist working with children and adults in schools, online and from the house. I enjoy creating a warm, respectful and welcoming environment in the house, where we feel comfortable sharing meals, conversations and walks. For me, having meaningful interactions is an essential part of cohabiting with someone, while exploring and accepting our differences is part of living together.
I love living peacefully and quietly in the house, and I appreciate people who enjoy a similar way of living.
Outside work I love meditation, dancing, circus, travelling, cooking, spending time with friends and learning about natural health and wellbeing.
## Lodger agreement
This is a **lodger agreement**. I live in the property and manage the house on behalf of the landlord, including the day-to-day running of the house and our shared living arrangements. I aim to create a clean, peaceful and harmonious environment, and I'm looking for someone who values and contributes to that kind of atmosphere.
## Rent
* £625 per month, including council tax, gas, electricity, water and internet.
* Deposit: £650.
* Available from **1st October 2026**.
The rent includes bills based on normal household energy use. I've tried to keep the rent as low as possible while including all bills.
I try to be mindful of my energy use and usually keep the heating at a moderate level, both for environmental reasons and because it suits me personally. I'm looking for someone who is comfortable with a similar approach. If you wish to use additional heating or other high-energy appliances, you're welcome to do so, but any additional energy costs resulting from their use would be your responsibility.
I'm ideally looking for someone who would like to stay for at least six months, although I may consider shorter stays for the right person.
People receiving benefits are welcome to apply, provided you can supply a suitable guarantor.
Unfortunately, I can't accept pets because I have a severe allergy to animal hair. The room is available for **one person only**, so I'm sorry but I can't accept couples.
I do smoke, although I will keep it out of the communal areas. If this is likely to be a deal-breaker for you, I prefer to let you know in advance.
If you think you would be a good fit, please send me a message introducing yourself, telling me a little about what you do, what you're looking for in a place to live, and how you usually approach living with others and looking after shared spaces.
I look forward to hearing from you!
