Double room in sunny house in Whitehall

Hi folks,

We have a large double room available immediately in a 3-bed house which is nestled in between Easton and Redfield, just off the Bristol-Bath bike path.

You'd be sharing with me, Helen (42, work in public policy) and Sula, 36, a singer and music therapist.

The living room gets the morning sun and is cosy in the evenings, the kitchen gets the afternoon sun. The garden is west facing and an afternoon suntrap, perfect for lazing in the sunshine or having an evening fire. If you are green-fingered you’re welcome to give it some love! There is a TV in the living room which is good for films or linking up laptop to for yoga/workout vids etc.

The house is owned by me, but I try to make it feel as much like a normal house-share as possible, but with more colour on the walls. We get along really well, and are looking for a female housemate in the age range of 30ish-45ish, who’s got their own thing going but also up for a cuppa, going to a gig etc occasionally. We are both easy-going and love to sing/learn instruments, so being musical would be great but not essential.

Food: We can be busy in the week, but we do like a little bit of co-ordinated cooking and eating some meals together when we can. We are generally into healthy food and mostly eat veggie. It would be a nice benefit with three people in the house to occasionally let each other know when we are cooking up a big pot of something that we’re happy to share, so we don’t all have to cook individually every night.

About you – We’re looking for a clean, fun housie with a sense of humour who enjoys cultural stuff. We like keeping the house generally clean and tidy, (bathrooms always get less love, so we’ll probably make a rota). It would be fab to live with someone with existing connections in the area, who’s comfortable expressing their feelings, exchange ideas with or have a good rant. We like having the occasional dinner party and not averse to having a house party if we all felt like it.

Practical stuff: Available mid-jan. £600 pm including bills. Deposit is one month’s rent. Monthly rent includes council tax, electricity, gas, water and tv license and virgin fibre broadband. The contract is a minimum of 6 months, rolling thereafter. No couples and no pets, sorry about that.

Your room is set up with a double bed, wardrobe rail and open shelves, a chest of drawers. The bed and wardrobe rail needs to stay, but the other bits could be rehomed if you have your own furniture. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer.
