Description
33 yr old professional (and busy!) gal seeks housemate!
*viewings won’t be til late July with WhatsApps/calls an option before as a Get To Know’!*
The room should be available in Aug.
Im originally from Northern Ireland but have lived all over the UK, in manys a flat share over the last few years.
Finally trying to lay some roots and am buying a place in Bristol, as I’ll be relocating there from the sunny south coast this summer. Excited to explore the city, and even more so the surrounding areas (North Devon coast and Welsh hills: hello). I’ve already scoped out a great coffee spot and wine bar in the vicinity: as well as the LIDL - all the essentials!
It’s a double bedroom which can be furnished or not - happy to discuss this as I know many of us have gathered furniture over years spent renting.
The rest of the house will be furnished, including a well equipped kitchen, but still with plenty of space for you to bring the things you love - extra plants/greenery a bonus! I have a bunch of plants but I do not have the greenest fingers… I’m always happy to share the things I own, including the much loved soda stream and expect that we respect each others possessions.
There are 2 living spaces and a big garden.
It’s right beside the cycle path and has a secure bike shed
On road parking.
The house has a loft room which will serve as spare room / WFH / yoga spot etc.
I think it’s so important to have enough space to be both sociable and independent when you’re sharing a home as grown ups !
I don’t intend to invite a third housemate which means plenty of space for myself, a tenant, and for friends/family to visit (yours and mine!)
I’m looking for someone who I can enjoy living with (not necessarily being best pals but hitting a good rhythm together) - rather than settling for ‘anyone’ to share bills with!
This means length of stay could depend on our priorities and how well we get on - I don’t plan to be moving for a good few years now. Of course this would mean minimum notice periods and some open communication - I know how exhausting it can be to move/househunt and so I have no intention of springing surprises on anyone.
I work in healthcare so I work shifts and I work a lot. This means I often come in late and frequently work nightshifts, sleeping in the day. Fear not, I am used to earplugs - ‘normal life’ can continue while I snooze! What I do need is some understanding that sometimes my ‘morning’ is the evening - so I may need a bit cup of coffee before I can entertain meaningful conversation!
This means I think living with someone who doesn’t WFH would work better.. but I have flatshared with gals who do work from home before and it’s gone swimmingly.
I try to fit in gym / running / cycling / cooking around my shifts and I travel a lot : which can make my days pretty jam packed. However, when I can, I love to make time for coffees catchups and home made negronis.
I expect a clean home but also appreciate that I can be a bit chaotic (think: accidentally accumulating coffee cups or last minute ‘meal prep’ before work). I expect something similar in return and I will be buying a dishwasher (lofty goals!)
Rent will include bills and a fortnightly cleaner.
Give me a shout if you think you’d be a good fit !
