Description
Hello there,
We have an unfurnished large double room available from mid-January (from the 18th but exact date TBC) in our relaxed, three-bed household which is located just off St Marks Road in Easton.
I’m an Archaeologist and Paul works in the community, running wellbeing groups. We are both in our 40s, and not a couple. We are looking for a professional to come and join us. Depending on our work schedules, which can be varied, we occasionally work from home a day or two per week and for balance are looking for someone similar. Otherwise, most of the week we are pretty busy doing our own stuff / social things, so tend to catch up when we can, sharing a laugh over a cuppa or while hanging out downstairs. We’re also both reasonably active, get out and about when we can and enjoy seeing friends, going to cinema, music, exhibitions… all the usual stuff. I ticked that we are smokers, but we vape rather than smoke tobacco. Any smokers can do so, but in the garden outside ta!
The house has a communal sitting room, with sofas, TV, wood burning stove and a connected dining room with French doors opening to the rear garden, which has decking, seating and planting areas, with a covered bike park to the rear. There is a galley kitchen, with utility area and bathroom beyond. The kitchen has a gas cooker, washing machine and drier, fridge, freezer and microwave.
Photos show the room furnished, but everything except the white wardrobe will be going. The bedroom is the largest one in the house and measures 3.8m wide by 4.25m long with two alcoves (one of which is shelved) to either side of a chimney breast which are 0.36m in depth. It has two windows that look out over the front of the property.
We have Wi-Fi broadband and all bills (council tax band A, gas, electric, TV licence, water, and internet) are included in the price (with fair usage of gas/electric applying). The bathroom has a large bath and separate shower. There are hard floors throughout the downstairs, while upstairs is carpeted.
We are very close to cycle routes and public transport links for Stapleton Road train station and buses with quick driving access to M32. As this is a terraced street there is no off-street parking but we are in a permit-free area. It is also extremely close to St Marks Road shops - Sweet Mart, bakery, restaurants and pubs – The Sugar Loaf and The Greenbank are two of our closest favourites.
The atmosphere of the house is relaxed and peaceful so we’re hoping to find someone who is wanting the same. We’re both open and considerate in our communication, in the hope that we can all be comfortable. We keep on top of things in the house, keeping it clean and tidy, with a bit of garden maintenance thrown in. Both of us are early risers, during the week, so I’d say that the house tends to be quiet by 10.30pm, 40’s life eh? :) The street itself is friendly and the neighbours are lovely folks, who we know well.
The room is available from mid January-ish 2025, and with the rapid approach of Christmas, viewings will probably have to wait until the new year, but happy to do a video-call for a chat in advance to see how we get on and answer any questions! Otherwise, any other interest or queries, send a response and I’ll get back to you after work hours.
Thanks for looking,
Emily
