Description
We are looking for a new housemate to fill a large double bedroom at our home in Easton, moving in on 1st February.
The house is queer friendly and we are ideally looking for a she or they to join a man, a woman and our friendly cat, Nettle.
Professionals or mature students preferred, and we’d like to find someone who aims to stick around for a while. The house has a communal atmosphere, and we enjoy spending time together cooking, chatting, and playing board games. We don’t have a TV in the living space and generally prefer analogue chills, but we do also enjoy a film or some trash TV together on a laptop occasionally! House dinners happen semi-regularly on an informal basis and we’d love a housemate who want to be involved with this kind of vibe – we will happily cook vegan or veggie food for shared dinners, but this is not a meat free house.
We also share responsibility for food staples and household essentials like toilet roll, spices, oil, eggs etc. – again, we would like a housemate that is on board with this style of living. This is not a party house – more of a glass of wine/cup of tea in the garden type of house.
Housemates are in their early 30s. Alex is a musician and piano teacher, and Bec is a trainee music therapist and works multiple jobs alongside her studies – both enjoy nature, exercise, music, food and have friends who also live nearby in Easton – there are often friends dropping in and out of the house to say hello or share a meal.
The house has a spacious garden in which we grow vegetables and spend a lot of time in throughout summer (props to anyone who wants to help with some gardening!), and a spare room which Alex uses for piano lessons and we all share for hosting guests.
The room is £500 per month, not including bills. Council tax, bills, wifi and our cleaner who comes every other week comes to approx. £150 per month, so around £650 per month in total. The room is furnished; it comes with a double bed & mattress, wardrobe, drawers and shelves. The rest of the house and communal areas are also fully furnished.
Our landlord is a friend of the housemates and currently lives in New Zealand – but is very active if things ever need fixing. We’d like to properly meet folks who are interested in the room and will be hosting viewings on Sat 11/01 and Tue 14/01. Message us telling us a bit about you, what you like to do, and what you're looking for in a house/house-share!
