Description
We are looking for a lodger to join us in our home in Greenbank, Bristol. Available from end of January (exact date tbc).
The room: The room is a large, bright and sunny double facing the garden and as such is quiet and peaceful. It comes semi-furnished with a double bed, mattress, wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table. It is a spacious room with ample space for a desk and/ or small armchair/ mini sofa. The room is 825 inclusive of all bills. We also have a bi weekly cleaner which comes to an additional £33 per month. Bills include TV licence, gas, electric, fast broadband, council tax. Anything else that’s shared is added to a shared app to be split equally (ie toilet paper, cleaning products).
The house: It is a large Victorian terrace in green and leafy Greenbank. It’s really close to a range of amenities, including the Greenbank pub, Matter Wholefoods, St Mark's Road with a range of shops and restaurants, Este Kitchen and Greenbank Cemetery for your dose of green space. It is a 2-minute walk to the Bristol to Bath cycle path, which takes you into the centre of town within 10 minutes or out into the countryside towards Bath. The house has a large open-plan kitchen/ diner, living room, two bathrooms and a large south facing verdant garden. There is space for a bike in the garage, and free parking on the road.
About us: You would be living with myself Becs (live in landlady), Colm the other lodger and two friendly cats. I am a medical herbalist and editor love all things health and plant related. Colm works outdoors in a tree nursery. We both work full time and lead busy lives but find time to come together for a cup of tea or meals and have found a good rhythm. I work from home almost full time, however I am often away for weekends or work. We consider the home to be our sanctuary, and when we are there, it’s for downtime and r&r so we want to maintain a feeling of peace in the home. We enjoy having friends over on occasion but to emphasise this is not a party house.
About you: We are looking for a professional with a kind heart and independent nature and a bonus if you love the outdoors/outdoor sports. Someone respectful and who is keen to contribute to a friendly, relaxed atmosphere in the house. Cleanliness is really important to us, so definitely someone who is on the same page about this - no dishes left overnight!
We can’t accept someone who works from home full time, couples or more pets.
If this sounds like you then get in touch,
We look forward to hearing from you
