Furnished double room available in a spacious and modernised Victorian end terrace in Easton.
We are a couple (and our 2 cats) looking for a lodger. One of us works mostly from home (in a home office), the other mostly from the office, and we are looking for someone who fits with our 9-5 lifestyle. Our home is our sanctuary, we're not a party house, but will occasionally have friends round for dinner or a brew. We are friendly but busy people, often out in the evening but enjoy watching TV shows and films when we're home, and we would hope to find a nice balance with a lodger of own space and shared space.
In the house there is a washing machine, dishwasher and heated airer for shared use, and a separate fridge/freezer for the lodger so no struggling for shelf space after the weekly shop. We tend to eat late so there's not often a tea-time kitchen-queue.
The house is big, with two bathrooms (bath upstairs, shower downstairs), a living room, dining room and dining space in the kitchen also. The room is at the back of the house and the opposite end to our bedroom so is quiet and away from road noise. It has a double bed with storage drawers, a wardrobe and a small vanity desk and stool (which we can move if you'd rather provide your own desk instead).
There is also a rear garden with patio furniture, and an Asgard bike shed in the front garden. The location is excellent, we're a 10 minute walk from Stapleton Road train station, St Marks Road, and the library and 5 minutes from Stapleton Road with all the shops and eateries it has to offer, and the bus stop. It's really easy to connect to the Bristol-Bath cycle path or the cycle route into Old Market and the city centre.
A potential lodger should be prepared to take care of our home by being clean, tidy and careful, and be comfortable around cats (ours are indoors so there is a bit of care needed around doors and windows).
