Furnished double room available in a spacious Victorian end terrace in Easton.
We are a couple (and our 2 cats) looking for a calm lodger. One working from home, the other mostly from an office, we are looking for someone who fits with our 9-5 lifestyle. Our home is our sanctuary, we're not a party house, but will occasionally have friends round for dinner or a brew. We tend to eat late so there's not often a kitchen-queue.
The house is big, with two bathrooms (bath upstairs, shower downstairs), a living room, dining room and dining space in the kitchen also. The room is at the back of the house and the opposite end to our bedroom so is quiet and away from road noise. It has a double bed with storage drawers, a wardrobe and a small vanity desk and stool (which we can move if you'd rather provide your own desk instead).
There is also a rear garden and a bike shed in the front garden. The location is excellent, we're a 10 minute walk from Stapleton Road train station, St Marks Road, and the library and 5 minutes from Stapleton Road with all the shops and eateries it has to offer, and the bus stop. It's really easy to connect to the Bristol-Bath cycle path or the cycle route into Old Market and the city centre.
A potential lodger should be prepared to take care of our home with us, and to be comfortable around cats (ours are indoors so there is a bit of care needed around entry/exit and windows!).
