Hello! I'm looking for someone to share my lovely home in Whitehall, BS5. Available from 27th July.

Rent: £500/month

Bills: £140/month – i. e. a third of total house bills.

Deposit: £500 (held in deposit protection scheme)

DSS accepted.

Pets: Happy to chat about small pets (cats, small dogs etc).

Couples: sorry, not suitable for couples.

Queer-friendly house that would suit someone who's chilled, enjoys chats about the world, and likes being social but is also happy to be independent (I'm away a lot for work).

Its a brilliant location, nestled between Easton, St George's and Redfield, with great links into town via the bike path and bus routes. St George's Park is just round the corner, and beautiful spots like Troopers Hill and Conham River Park are also super-close. We have an Aldi five minutes walk away, and plenty of other shops, pubs and cafes nearby.

The house a three-bedroom terrace with a large garden, kitchen, sitting room, dining room, shared bathroom, and an office with a single bed (which you're welcome to use for occasional guests).

The spare room is a medium-sized double that comes furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, and shelves. My neighbour has four very young kids, so it's not really a party house, but definitely lots of space to be social.

About me (John, he/him): I work in theatre and the travel industry. My biggest passion is for the arts, but I also love cooking, keeping active, and anything to do with being outdoors. I love going out but am definitely slowing down a little these days...

I do try to keep the communal spaces as clutter-free as possible - so if you have loads of stuff, think you'll struggle keeping the place clean and tidy, or see washing-up as optional, it's probably not gonna work. You're more than welcome to make yourself at home though by popping plants / decorative items etc around shared areas.
