1 double room in shared house near Eastville Park

Hi! I'm Chay!

I have found 2 new housemates to move into the house I'm renting and
I'm looking for 1 more person to move in by mid August ‘24!

The house is located in Eastville, literally a 2 min walk to the park and a 2 min cycle to the Bristol-Bath cycle path so it’s really easy to get into town (a 15 min cycle!). The house is on a dead end street so parking is a bit of a nightmare sometimes but it is quiet as there is no through traffic. There are nearby streets to park on if you do have a car though! (One of my housemates is taking her car so there should be space on our street!)

The available room is an unfurnished decent sized double. Monthly rent not inc. bills is: £570. Communal rooms are furnished!

No bills are included in the rent. Electric and Gas are on a meter, they usually cost ~£100 a month combined (£25 each) but vary with usage. Water is ~£15 a month each (depends on usage) broadband is ~£10 a month and council tax is band A so £35 each pm.

The house itself has just been refurbished so it has a very modern and tasteful feel. The kitchen and living room are open plan and spacious - perfect if you like cooking! Also has a dishwasher and drinks fridge! There is also room to store a bike inside if you own one. The bathroom is also well finished, there is both a shower and bath. There is also a downstairs toilet which is useful when someone wants to have a bath!!

There is also a massive garden at the rear - lots of space to chill, dry washing, grow things etc. I’m currently trying to grow a few crops myself. There is also a fair amount of storage space in the loft if you have a bit of extra crap you want to chuck up there.

We have had a good washing up/cleaning ‘culture’ (😂) in this house and we would always wash up our stuff after cooking together etc, & everyone was happy to keep communal rooms clean, so it would be good to have somebody respectful that doesn't let dirty stuff pile up and keeps shared spaces clean! We also use splitwise for bills and bits and pieces for the house so they get split equally. Basically I'm after chill people that also likes to have fun! But this is not a party house. If you go out every weekend and get back late disturbing everyone nobody is keen for that!

So, a bit about me then! I’m Chay, 28 M and I've lived in Bristol for 4 ½ years now. I'm a friendly guy and try to be as active as possible! I enjoy listening to music and going to various gigs/live music events around Bristol. I'm a bassist in a band too, so up for a jam if you play something! I'm an avid cyclist and ride with an offroad cycling group sometimes on Mon/Weds! I love cats, so lucky we have one living next door (Sid) 😺. I enjoy a social activity e. g. board games or cooking together. But I also enjoy my own space and time so will be in my room some of the time too. I love cooking so I tend to cook almost all of my meals from scratch or following a recipe. I am a tidy person so I always tidy up my mess in the kitchen!! I’m not the kind of person that sits and watches TV all evening (we currently have no TV) and prefers to do nice house things in the eve if everyone is in and keen!

Please, when you respond to this ad, write a description of your interests and how you think you'd fit into the house - you are much more likely to get a response if I think our personalities and idea of living in a shared space match.
